Komkor Kitchens have been in the kitchen and cabinet industry since 1986.

In Nkowankowa, a settlement half an hour away from the local town of Tzaneen, in the year 1989 Komkor established itself as a versatile kitchen and cabinet manufacturer. Basie and his family, with a drive to succeed, built Komkor’s reputation through the years as a factory matching modern manufacturing standards growing its staff from six to well over 20 permanent artisans from the local community. Basie prides himself in his close-knit family and manages the business to have the same core values. Drawing from time tested experience and outstanding skills gained through three decades of designing, manufacturing and installing kitchens, Komkor offers a unique balance between cost and integrity in kitchen design, turning visions to reality over the whole Limpopo province.

Where did it begin?

Basie Engelbrecht, founder of Komkor Kitchens started the business in Booyens , Pretoria, occupying a small piece of land where, along with a team of six staff members, he focused on building modern kitchen cabinets. Experience may have taught Basie his trade but time taught him balance. With a growing family, Basie decided that Komkor needed somewhere new to develop and lay down roots.

Our DIY section

We aim to serve our customers, and our regular carpenters, whom needs to do a job, without having to acquire expensive machinery and equipment. By optimizing your cutting list we can efficiently determine the amount of boards needed. Cutting and edging the required sizes happens in-house with our state of the art equipment. Komkor also stocks all the needed hardware, hinges, handles. drawer runners and screws needed to complete any project.
